Common causes of problems accessing eBooks

  • It could be in use by another user. Try again in 15 minutes. If you try a number of times over a 24 hour period and cannot access the eBook, please contact the Library so we can investigate.
  • With some eBooks from a supplier called EBSCO use the institutional login link to sign in to read the eBook. 
  • It could be a popular eBook and we have used up all our credits. We generally quickly purchase additional credits, but sometimes overnight or at the weekend, there is a delay in processing the order.
  • There could be a technical problem with the eBook website. If you get an error message, please email library@mmu.ac.uk so we can investigate the problem.
