If you link to Lexis Library from the Library website, log in with your University username and password at the Manchester Met eResource login page. If you get an error saying “error contacting your identity provider” (screenshot below)

it is a general problem with this database. Other libraries in the UK are reporting it. We've reported it to the suppliers.

Workarounds

1. Use the back button in your browser to go back to the link to Lexis Library on the Library website. Try it again it may take you straight in without logging in again.

2. If you still see the error, your browser may have cached it. Close and reopen your browser. If you are using an on campus student PC, log off the PC and log on to the PC again.

If you are using a staff PC or your own device, clear the browser cache. Instructions for how to clear your browser cache

3. We have an alternative method of logging in to Lexis Library, but you will not see any personalisation features eg saved searches, preferred books on your bookshelf etc. Alternative login to Lexis Library using EZProxy. Make sure you have closed and reopened your browser before using this link.
