"Online articles are more highly cited because of easier availability”. (Lawrence, Nature, 2001, 411:521)

Depositing your work in e-space allows for widespread dissemination of research; your research will become more visible. Because e-space uses international standards, not only is research available via e-space, but it is also available through services such as OAIster, a cross-searching, multi-repository harvesting service hosted by the University of Michigan. Research in e-space is also harvested by most search engines.

To deposit research in a repository such as e-space can also enhance the process of scholarly communication not only between institutions, but also within MMU as you will gain perhaps a more complete picture of what else goes on in your own environment. Essentially, e-space is a showcase for research.
