A rule of thumb is to check the publication details in the fly leaf/reverse of title page of the item you wish to have digitised. If a UK or US place of publication is listed (even as a 2nd or 3rd place of publication) it will be possible to digitise an extract as long as the publisher is not excluded from the licence. So it is important to check the CLA List of Excluded Works and list of Excluded US Publishers.
