When you follow a link to log in to Drama Online from the Library website, the system we use to log you in to Drama Online is called EZProxy. When you log in using this system you are unable to close the table of contents for a play.

If you need to close the table of contents, there is a workaround. This works better if you use Internet Explorer as your browser.

Either use this link to log in to Drama Online and log in with your University ID and password at the Manchester Metropolitan eResources log-in box. You will know you are logged in correctly if Drama Online says Logged in to Drama Online towards the top right of the page.

OR

Go to http://www.dramaonlinelibrary.com/ select log in (ignore the boxes on the initial log in screen), select Log in via your institution.  Drama Online may not show all the available institutions at first, select Show organizations, then scroll down the list to select Manchester Metropolitan University. Log in with your University ID and password at the Manchester Metropolitan eResources log-in box.

Drama Online seems to be optimised to work with the Internet Explorer web browser. We've found that if you log in to Drama Online following the methods mentioned above using Firefox as your web browser and to a lesser extent the Chrome web browser, you are more likely to get an error message saying Error: Credentials not valid. The attributes supplied to the SP were not sufficient to create authorisation credentials.

If you see this error, either:

  • close your browser and try again
  • use Internet Explorer as your web browser
  • if accessing Drama Online using a device that does not use Internet Explorer, try linking to Drama Online using the Chrome browser rather than Firefox.
