If you are an externally enrolled student with one of our partner colleges or associate member of academic staff and sometimes see this message, but can still access other subscribed Library Services' online resources, you see this message because you have attempted to use something that is not available for you to use. In order to comply with licence terms, we offer access to some but not all of our subscribed online resources. 

If you see this error message and think that you should have access to the electronic resource you were trying to log in to ie you are a fully enrolled student or full member of  Manchester Metropolitan University staff, please try the following:

  • Close and reopen your web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Chrome or Firefox) then try accessing the resource again

If this does not work,

  • If using your own computer/mobile device: clear the browser’s cache, then close and reopen the browser and try accessing the resource again.

-See this website for instructions explaining how to clear the cache for a number of different browsers. If you are unsure what browser or version of a browser you are currently using, please visit this website, which will tell you.

  • If using an Manchester Met computer: try using a different web browser.

- Go to 'All Programs' in the Start menu. Choose from Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox.
