The Library is not able to buy books and other items from students or staff to add to its collections. However, the Library is happy to accept donations of material, provided it supports the University’s teaching and research. Items may be added to stock using the following assessment criteria: relevance to the current collections, existing stock availability, physical condition of the item/s. Once added to stock, the item/s become part of the Library’s collections, and cannot be returned to the donor. The Library reserves the right to dispose of material appropriately if it is not considered suitable for addition to stock.

If you would like to donate items to the Library, please email library@mmu.ac.uk with a list of the items and the relevant subject team will respond to you.
