When you link to an eBook on the EBSCOhost eBook Collection website, you are taken to a description page for the eBook. This page has information about the eBook, including a section called Concurrent User Level (screenshot below).
Concurrent user level types
- Limited User Access (1 copies available) means we have bought a copy under a licence that allows just one person to read the eBook at a time.
- Limited User Access (3 copies available) means we have bought a copy under a licence that allows three people to read the eBook at a time.
- Unlimited user access means there are no limits on how many people can read the eBook at one time.
We prefer to buy eBooks that allow us to offer access to multiple people, however sometimes we are not able to and in that case, we buy single user access.
If you are unable to access an eBook because someone else is using it, try again in 15 minutes. EBSCOhost eBooks time out after 15 minutes of inactivity freeing them up for other people to read.
If you find you are not able to access an eBook over a longer period of time, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
