Q. Do I need to cite and reference my own original research?

Because you are the original author, you do not need to include a citation and a reference.  You would usually be required to add the raw data gathered for your research in appendices and refer to the appendices in the main body of your work, eg (see Appendix A).

Please note: you would only need to cite and reference yourself if you are using your previously published or submitted work.
