The URL is valid but the resource it points to does not exist - probably the most common of these status codes!
Suggested action: Give up, the URL is pointing to something that doesn't exist, so either you've clicked on a broken link, typed in a broken URL or typed a good URL in wrongly. In this last case, check the accuracy of your typing and try again after correcting any errors.
You sometimes get a HTTP Status 404 error when linking to an eJournal article, eBook or database if the University eResource logging-in system has problems. Check the Library web site or the Library's Twitter page to see if we have an service outage.
