Manchester Metropolitan University is now covered by NLA Media Access ( ) licence for the digitisation of newspaper articles/pages for students and it is also fine to put them on Moodle.   NLA  provide a title checker at  and pretty much all papers are included except the Financial Times.  Newspaper supplements like the Guardian Weekend are also permitted.

Copies need to include a notice that says “NLA licensed copy. No further copies may be made except under licence”.

However, magazines are not included in the NLA licence at present, so any magazine titles need to be checked under our CLA (Copyright Licensing Agency) licence instead.   The CLA also provide a title checking tool.
