If you are a current student or member of staff at a university that is a member of the SCONUL Access scheme. You have reference access to the Library during helpdesk opening hours.

In addition, current university students and staff other than full time undergraduates may apply for lending rights via the SCONUL web site.

What to bring with you

You will need to bring a current university ID card displaying an expiry date. If your card does not have an expiry date, you will need to apply for SCONUL reference approval via the SCONUL web site and bring an emailed authorisation as proof of your expiry date alongside your ID card.

What services are available

We offer Wi-Fi via the Eduroam service and access to some electronic resources via the walk in access scheme. Please note that PC access for use of the internet and software applications is not offered. For more information on accessing eResources please visit the Walk in Access pages

Current university students and staff (apart from full-time undergraduates) may apply for limited borrowing rights via the SCONUL web site. Applications are checked by the requestor's own university. Approved applicants should bring their authorisation email, their university ID card and a passport photo.

As the Library’s focus is to provide services for Manchester Metropolitan University students and staff, visitors from other institutions may have their access restricted at key times of year. Please check the Library website news section for details of any current restrictions.
