The laptops have the University’s standard platform, using Windows 7 with Microsoft Office, with the usual web browsers and software that you will find on all Manchester Metropolitan PCs. Owing to software licence restrictions and the need to make laptops available for new borrowers as quickly as possible after return, additional software cannot be installed.

Please contact the IT Helpline for advice about what software is on the University's standard platform:

  • The IT Helpline now also provide face-to-face support in the All Saints Library foyer, open 12:30pm - 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
